Privacy Policy
How English with Gio Shemer handles your information.
1. Who We Are
English with Gio Shemer is operated by Giovanna Shemer, English Language Confidence Coach, Herzliya, Israel ("we", "me"). This policy covers this website and the publishing tool described in section 10. Contact: hello@englishwithgio.com.
2. Information We Receive
- What you send us. If you contact us by WhatsApp, email or LinkedIn, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, phone number or email address, your employer and the content of your message.
- Technical data. This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the site, and to provide privacy-friendly visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track people across sites). We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
- Stored in your browser. Your accessibility settings, and your choice to allow video or maps, are saved in your own browser so you do not have to repeat them.
3. How We Use It
To reply to your enquiry, discuss and deliver coaching or training, manage our business relationship, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Third-Party Content
The video player (HeyGen) and the map (Google) load only after you click "Allow and watch" or "Allow and show map". Until then nothing is loaded from those providers. Fonts are hosted on this site and are not loaded from third parties. See our Cookie Notice.
5. Sharing
We share information only with service providers we use to run the business, such as Google (Gmail, hosting), WhatsApp, Zoom (online sessions) and Green Invoice (invoicing), and only as needed for that purpose, or where the law requires it. Some of these providers process information on servers outside Israel.
6. How Long We Keep It
We keep messages and client details for as long as needed for the purpose they were shared or as the law requires, and then delete them.
7. Your Rights
Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, you may ask to see the information we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. Write to hello@englishwithgio.com and we will respond as soon as we can. Sharing information with us is voluntary; if you choose not to, we may simply be unable to reply or provide a service. You may also contact the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
This site is intended for adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. TikTok Publishing Tool
English with Gio Shemer ("we") runs a private tool used only by Giovanna Shemer to publish her own English-learning videos to her own TikTok account.
What we access. When the TikTok account is connected, the tool receives basic profile information (display name, avatar, account ID) and permission to upload and publish videos to that account.
How we use it. Only to publish videos Giovanna Shemer has created and approved. We do not collect data from other TikTok users, and we do not sell, share, or use any data for advertising.
Storage. Access tokens are held securely by our integration provider and used only to post content. Access can be revoked at any time in TikTok's settings under Security and permissions → Apps and services.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
