Our Commitment

English with Gio Shemer is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to meet the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and Israeli Standard SI 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA.

What We Have Done

  • An accessibility toolbar on every page (the round button in the bottom bar) with larger and smaller text, high contrast, grayscale, underlined links, a readable font, focus highlighting and a stop-motion option. Your choices are remembered.
  • The site can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link.
  • Semantic page structure and headings, labeled buttons and links, and a declared page language, to support screen readers. Hebrew pages are fully right-to-left.
  • Colors chosen for readable contrast, layouts that adapt to phone, tablet and desktop screens, and support for browser zoom.
  • Animations are switched off automatically if your device is set to reduce motion.

Known Limitations

  • The video player (HeyGen) and the map (Google) are provided by third parties, and we cannot guarantee that they are fully accessible. If a video needs a transcript, ask us and we will send one.
  • Third-party embeds (video and map) load only after you allow them.
  • The site is available in English and Hebrew.
  • The site was reviewed internally and has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist, so some pages or elements may not fully meet the standard.
